During Active Schools Week, our students enthusiastically participated in a variety of activities aimed at promoting physical activity and sportsmanship. The week was filled with exciting events such as Olympic Movement Breaks led by Irish Olympians, inspiring our students with their expertise and passion for sport. These breaks provided refreshing moments of active engagement throughout the day.

The activities continued with challenges like the Keepy Uppy Challenge, Penalty Shootout Tournament, and Basketball Free Throws, where students showcased their skills and teamwork. Fundamental Movement Skills workshops offered valuable learning opportunities, enhancing coordination and agility among participants.

"Wheely Wednesday" promoted sustainable travel to school, combining fitness with environmental awareness. Special games like Football Rounders and Football Boxes kept the excitement going, culminating in memorable matches including Teachers vs. Students showdowns.

Active Schools Week concluded with a sense of achievement and community spirit, reinforcing the importance of staying active and enjoying sports together. It was a week that celebrated physical well-being and teamwork, leaving a lasting impact on our school community.

We held our Sports Day later in the year which was a real treat, featuring traditional events such as three legged race, sack race, egg and spoon race, sprints, long distance runs, tag rugby and various track and field events. The day was filled with cheers and friendly competition, emphasizing the joy of physical activity and healthy living.
